Description of violet ray (high frequency / violet wand) machines / devices:
History:
The violet wand (or violet ray machine) is an old quack device used mainly
from 1920-1940 to "cure" nearly all deseases you can think of. On this page
you can find the electrodes of the apparatus, a description of the
violet wand itself can be found here.
Socket diameters and shapes (info collected from mails in the violet ray group):
The attachments do vary between American and European made sets...but only by a few thousandths of an inch (11mm / 11.11mm), and since they are held in a spring clip, are fairly interchangeable. There are some other differences that can affect this tho... Some of the European sets had a groove in the metal base caps that engaged a pin in the holder to keep them from rotating in the socket (comb, brush etc.), so a non grooved electrode would not seat to proper depth. Some English sets had the metal base caps formed into a square, fitting into a square receptacle, also to prevent rotation, with the same effect on seating. I even have one electrode which requires a groove in the receptable!
I try to list the electrodes in the way, the most common german booklets list them: by their number. Please notice that the electrodes made for the RADIOLUX, RADIOSTAT and RADIOFOR (the ones with the extraordinaire socket diameter of 12mm) have their own special numbering (which is indicated by the blue numbers in italics)!

The following tables have to be filled with the drawings and photographs, that may take some time, please be patient!

Of course, I want to have all of the electrodes listed in the tables above, but there are some items with a high priority:
item | schematic | # |
nose electrode (isolated)
various dental electrodes
vaginal electrode (perforated for ozone treatment)
vaginal electrode (perforated with pump for ozone treatment)
external penis electrode (hollow and fork)
... |
Other "electrodes" you can drive with a violet wand:
A flicker light bulb (neon filled) driven from my first violet wand
set, the old Haider:
"plasmaglobe" (globe type big 2000W light
bulb)(this
old picture was taken with my 2"-TC as HV-source)
A 25W incandescent bulb, current is flowing through the filament (5W
RF-power):
A "Bienenkorbglimmlampe" (don't know the english word for it...) and a flicker
bulb:
halogen light bulb
flourescent tube (Luke Skywalker effect)
